Who is it for?
The need for TaxAible is driven by a large gap: Pakistan has over 79 million employed individuals, but only 7.3 million are tax filers. This is largely due to:
Low Financial Literacy: A lack of awareness of tax slabs, deductions, or deadlines.
Lack of Awareness of Benefits: Millions of eligible taxpayers are unaware that being an Active Taxpayer (ATL) provides tangible benefits like lower withholding taxes and legal protection.
Technology Gap: A large portion of users struggle with the complex, text-heavy nature of existing online portals.
Misleading Filing Numbers: Even among the 7.3 million filers, 3.1 million report non-taxable income, further reducing the actual share of tax-paying citizens.
